Clergy Spouse Association

The Clergy Spouse Association continues to carry out its mission of supporting the spouses of clergy by providing opportunities for enrichment, fellowship and outreach. Our community strives to connect and engage with spouses of clergy who are active, retired or widowed. The CSA’s ongoing mission is befittingly expressed in the Clergy Spouse Association prayer that is offered at all CSA meetings and events.

Please Join Us

The Clergy Spouse Association is open to every spouse of clergy in the Diocese of Southwest Florida whether they are active, retired or widowed. We have a variety of avenues for member participation, including leadership, planning and outreach, as well as in-person and virtual events.

Signature Events

The CSA holds two signature events each year. The CSA Luncheon is held in conjunction with the Diocese of Southwest Florida’s Convention and is the occasion for the introduction of new CSA members and the election of Officers. The luncheon is a great time for catching up with longtime friends and getting to know our newcomers. The Annual Clergy Spouse Gathering and Retreat, which began in the nineteen-eighties, continues to thrive as a weekend retreat at DaySpring and includes a retreat theme, guest facilitator, fellowship, worship and renewal.

The Annual Luncheon during Convention and Annual Retreat at DaySpring are designed to provide opportunities for spouses of clergy to connect and engage with each other. These well-attended events are planned by committee members who strive to offer a wide variety of event topics, speakers and activities.

This year, the CSA has launched regular Zoom Social Hours for our members. Attendance is consistent and attendees have remarked that these Zoom get-togethers have provided a much sought-after way to connect and see people from around the diocese in between our two annual events.

Clergy Spouse Prayer

By Sandra Davis

Heavenly Father, we ask for your continued care for the clergy spouses of this diocese. Keep us ever mindful of your love for us, our families, and the Church. Enable us to be enlightened by the vision of the ministry to which you have called us. Continue to bind us together as a strong, caring, and loving family in your Name. ~ Amen
