Ministries for Women

The diocese has a large number of different ministries to women, both at the parish and diocese level.

Groups such as Episcopal Church Women and Daughters of the King are active in the diocese. Each woman in the parish is considered part of the Episcopal Church Women.

At the parish level, altar guilds, sewing groups and book clubs flourish. Contact your parish priest or administrator to find out more, or visit the links below.

Below are some ministry pages of the women's groups of the Diocese:

  • Episcopal Church Women: Episcopal Church Women are of all ages, ethnic origins and socioeconomic backgrounds and hold a wide variety of views. However, the common denominator of our members is love of God and the wish to do His work. MORE
  • United Thank Offering: The famous blue boxes of the UTO have traditionally been a project of the women of the Diocese. Visit the Diocesan UTO page. MORE
  • Daughters of the King chapters are active across the Diocese. MORE

In addition, there are some groups that through Episcopal tradition are exclusively for women but also include the assistance of men. These include:

  • Diocesan Altar Guild: A gathering of all the altar guilds in the Diocese. Their page has information about the group, and links to the Altargram, their newsletter. MORE
