My dear friends,

The last 36 hours have been harrowing for many of us in the Diocese of Southwest Florida.

Many of our churches and huge numbers of our parishioners are now faced with the daunting task of recovering from the effects of Hurricane Ian.  Such recovery efforts will take much time and energy.

With that in mind, I have decided to postpone our 54th Annual Diocesan Convention that was to take place on October 14 and 15 in Punta Gorda.

Rescheduling details will be forthcoming.
