Day 4 Hope      August 3, 2019

Things are underway.  We are beginning to assign volunteers and you
should hear from us soon.  Meanwhile:

 
Please pray every day.  We’ve written our own special prayer which
we encourage you to post on your refrigerator door and pray daily:

 
Gracious and life-giving God, we thank you for so many blessings. 
Especially this day, we thank you for the program Hope for Communities, which
enables us to reach out to homeless children and families.  Thank you for
the vision which created this work, and for the energy and enthusiasm of our
many volunteers.  We pray for the families who will be sent to us. 
Bless those parents in their struggle to care for their children.  Bless
the children and help them know that they are loved by many people.  Bring
your Spirit and Wisdom to our work as we prepare for our event on Aug 4. 
Help us spread your love in this hurting world.  In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Doctors, dentists 
We have hair stylists.  We have dental hygienists and we have
nurses.   Please take a letter from the info rack to your doctor or
dentist and ask them to consider participation.  If they’re willing to
talk to someone, bring us back the name and phone number and we’ll do the
rest! 


$$$ - Consider sponsoring a child.  It costs $100 per child for the
supplies and gift cards.  We have undertaken to help 100 children. 
If $100 is too steep, perhaps you and a friend or two can go together.
 Make checks payable to St. Wilfred and mark them “Day 4 Hope” on the
“for” line.

 
Corporate sponsors:  If you or someone you know owns a business,
ask them to sponsor a child or two.  We send the names of corporate
sponsors to the Hope 4 Community website, so it’s good publicity.  Again,
there’s a letter about this in the info rack.  Help yourself!
