Bio: The Rev. Virginia Herring is retired and works part-time as priest-in-charge at St. Wilfred Episcopal Church in Sarasota, FL.  The Rev. Herring has both a MTh and an MDIV from Duke University, and did Anglican Studies at The University of the South.  Her active ministry of over 25 years has been spent in the Diocese of North Carolina, where she served St. Luke’s in Salisbury, and St. Anne’s in Winston-Salem.  She was on staff at Holy Trinity in Greensboro for the last 15 years.  She served the diocese as member of Diocesan Council, member and chair of the Commission on Ministry, deputy to General Convention, and head of the Pastoral Response Team.  The Rev. Herring is single, and shares her home with an adult son and daughter, as well as two large (15lb) very bossy cats.  She raised six children, has seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  She loves the beach and English murder mysteries.  She has been a resident in Sarasota since June of 2013 and has fallen in love with the city, its inhabitants and the climate.

 Bio: The Reverend Joyce Woolever Holmes is assisting Rev. Ginny with pastoral needs and the Sacraments.  Mother Joyce grew up in Sarasota attending Church of the Redeemer and graduated from Florida State University.  She continued another year doing graduate work at FSU. After marrying her college sweetheart, she spent the next several years as a full time Christian Educator. Mother Joyce graduated from the School of Theology at the University of the South in Sewanee Tennessee. She has been ordained for 27 years, serving churches in Kansas and Florida. While working in the Diocese of Central Florida, she was asked to do a restart of a congregation and served as chair of Congregational Development. When she is not assisting at St. Wilfred Church, she serves as a Supply Priest in the diocese, or spending time with her children Elizabeth and Timothy and their families including her five grandchildren. Much of their leisure time is spent in their beloved second home in Sewanee Tennessee. Mother Joyce is an avid genealogist and gardener.
