This is a place where faith comes alive, where all sorts of people are welcomed, healed and learn to become disciples of Jesus. If you are tired, run downby stress; if you want to be part of a loving, understanding, forgiving community; if you want a place to worship the Lord in obedience to scripture; if you have a desire to help and serve others; then you will it here, and you will be fed by God's Spirit as you live out your faith. To quote Jesus, "Come and see!"
Mission StatementWe are a community of people who seek to love God with all our hearts and show his love for all people through our attitudes and our actions. We introduce people to Jesus, and we help those around us with spiritual, emotional and physical needs through prayer and caring. |

Joint Ministry with All Souls Episcopal Church, N. Fort Myers
On December 1, 2009 we began our journey of joint ministry with All Souls, North Fort Myers. The Very Rev. Alan Kelmereit became vicar of Good Shepherd, LaBelle and All Souls, North Fort Myers. His time and presence are divided between the congregations.
Deacon Sandy Johnson and Deacon Nancy Smith are assigned to Good Shepherd and All Souls. They preside at Deacon's Mass at Good Shepherd or All Souls as needed. The Lord has also blessed us with the presence here of two retired priests, Fr. Robert Browning and Fr. Walt Mycoff, all of whom have graciously offered to help as needed.
Our partnership has joined two congregrations of similar size, but unique because of the 42 miles distance between them. This is a full partnership of two formerly independent congregations. This partnership has developed as we found ways for the two Bishop's Committee to work together, and as the two congregations got to meet and know each other.
We have a joint service/picnic at a location between the two churches. We have two other joint services; one at Good Shepherd and one at All Souls. Both are well attended by both congregations.
Both Good Shepherd and All Souls have been called by God to be in these locations at this time in order to bring people to meet and know Jesus, and to reach out to serve the community around us. Each congregation has distinctive experiences and skills which they bring to the partnership, and together we are employing them and growing them into a powerful witness to the kingdom of God in Southwest Florida.
