Altar Guild

The Altar is the essential and most secred object in the church. Before it gather priest and people to offer, as before God's throne, the Sacrifice of Praise  and Thanksgiving. The Altar is God's Board, at which is celebrated the Holy Eucharist, the most sublime act of Christian worship.                                                                                                                                                   Altar prepared

The ministry of the altar guild at Good Shepherd is to maintain the vessels, fair linens, candles, vestments and hangings for the celebration of Holy Eucharist. We are responsible for preparing the altar for Sunday services, Thursday Healing services, weddings, funerals, and high church days. It is our deepest desire to glorify Christ as we prepare his holy meal.
