Altar Guild
Serving God and God Church

The Altar Guild
The Altar Guild has had another busy and joyous year. New teams have been formed as some of the members have retired. The Altar Guild can always use new memebers so see one of the ladies to offer your support.
The Guild's work is evidenced not just on Sunday's but with all services, including funerals and special celebrations throughout the year. Their work includes setting up the altar before and after each service, maintaining the care of the linens used, keeping track of and odering the wine, hosts, candles, oil and other supplies used in services.
Congratulations and many thanks go to the team members: Susie Baars, Ronny Brown, Virginia Clarihew, Mary Lemon, Mary Speck, and Glen Woodyard.

The Flower Guild
The Flower Guild needs your support. A new Flower Chart is up in Trimble Hall so you can put the dates you will donate flowers for the Altar on the chart. First come first served. If there is a conflict talk to the other party involved and decide how to handle it. There is always a solution.
Like so many others in our church the people in the Flower Guild, namely Gretchen Brierely (who recently turned 80) and Sharon Gariano are getting on in years. They would like the help of some of the younger folk to teach and share this ministry with as it is an important part of worship. See one of the ladies if you are interested in helping out.
So until more help is available, if you would like to provide flowers for a special occassion, please order them from a florist. Someone will be in the Office to accept orders on Thursday each week so that they may be put on the altar for your Sunday..
