Welcome to Good Shepherd Pre-School

Competitive Tuition

Increased enrollment and expanded facilities have enabled Good Shepherd Preschool to maintain its tuition at competitive levels. Financial assistance may be available for qualified families. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided throughout the day.

Nursery through Toddler Years

Our developmentally appropriate curriculum focuses on providing rich sensory experiences to young children that are experiencing their world for the first time. Sensory experiences are integrated into music and movement activities, creative art, math and science activities. Language skills are developed as appropriate vocabulary is modeled during these activities. Both gross and fine motor skills are tuned through the use of exciting and developmentally appropriate materials that require large and small motor control. Pre-reading skills begin even at this age as teachers model appropriate handling and reading of high quality books with the children.

Preschoolers ages 3-4

An enriched program encourages interaction between students. Art and science projects are designed to help develop cognitive, imaginative and critical thinking skills. Reading, games, books, posters, storytelling and group discussion are used to enhance social skills. Music activities include rhythm and self- expression. Indoor and outdoor activities promote healthy gross motor skills.

Free Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten

Our highly regarded VPK program is designed to enhance language, emergent literacy, mathematical thinking and social skills in 4-5 year olds. VPK promotes a love of learning through engaging, school-readiness experiences that lead to success in later grades. Courses are conducted in our Lower School by highly qualified teachers during the school year and in the summer. Parents may elect free VPK classes for a partial day, and our regular preschool program for the remainder of the day at a reduced fee.
