Church of the Good Samaritan, Clearwater welcomes the Rev. Dr. Richard Effinger as Priest-in-Charge.  His first Sunday was Nov 26, 2023. Fr. Effinger served parishes in Miami, Palm Beach, Key West, and Tallahassee.  After retiring, he relocated to the Largo/Clearwater area last year before his call to Good Samaritan. 

St. Raphael’s in Fort Myers Beach has called the Rev. Michael Rowe to be their Priest-in-Charge.  Fr. Rowe began his ministry on January 1, 2024. Fr. Rowe served as a priest in Montreal, Bermuda, Maine, and Southwest Florida before retiring from St. Mary’s Church, Bonita Springs in 2020. In retirement, he has served as interim Priest-in-Charge at St. Luke’s, Fort Myers, and now as Priest-in-Charge for St. Raphael's. 

On January 1, 2024, the Rev. Gerardo Logildes Coroas began his duties as an assistant priest at St Monica’s in Naples. Relocated to our area from the Diocese of Cuba where he was formerly the Priest-in-Charge of the Jesus Nazareno Episcopal Church in Santa Clara, Cuba. Father Logildes Coroas is married to the former Episcopal Bishop of Cuba the Rt. Rev. Griselda Delgado del Carpio.

The Rev. Dr. David C. Cobb will join the Cathedral Church of St. Peter as its part-time interim dean on January 16. 
Fr. Cobb, most recently served as interim assistant rector at St. James' Madison Avenue, New York City, and interim rector at Christ Church, Chattanooga. Fr. Cobb and his wife, Ruth, live in Sarasota. Mrs. Cobb is the interim organist/choirmaster at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church in St. Petersburg.

Church of Nativity, Sarasota announces that Timothy C. MacDonald is called to be their next Deacon-in-Charge. Tim is preparing for ordination to the Diaconate on January 20, 2024. Following his graduation from seminary in May, he will relocate to Sarasota, when he will be ordained a Priest and will transition to Priest-in-Charge.
